Catholic Foundation Supports the John Vianney Golf Tournament for Vocations

The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Scranton is proud to support initiatives that foster and encourage vocations to the priesthood. One such event is the annual John Vianney Golf Tournament for Vocations, which brings together supporters, clergy, seminarians, and community members in a shared commitment to strengthening the future of the Church.

This year’s tournament was held at Blue Ridge Golf Course, where Catholic Foundation Executive Director Mark DiPippa participated alongside supporters Marianne Puhalla, Dennis Puhalla, and seminarian Dan O’Brien. The event provided an opportunity to enjoy fellowship while raising awareness and support for vocations within the Diocese of Scranton.

The John Vianney Golf Tournament serves as an important fundraiser and awareness-building event that celebrates the call to priestly vocations and the individuals preparing to serve the faithful throughout the Diocese.

As part of its mission, the Catholic Foundation supports programs and initiatives that strengthen the Church and its ministries. Through charitable giving and community partnerships, the Foundation helps provide resources that enrich parish life, support future clergy, and sustain the mission of the Diocese for generations to come.

Events such as the John Vianney Golf Tournament demonstrate the power of faith, stewardship, and community collaboration. They offer an opportunity for individuals and organizations to come together in support of future priests while making a lasting impact on the spiritual life of the Diocese.
