Diocese of Scranton Joins Nativity Miguel School’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Honoring Monsignor Quinn
The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Scranton joined Nativity Miguel School of Scranton in celebrating its 10th anniversary at a special dinner held at the University of Scranton. Executive Director Mark DiPippa and members of the diocesan development team attended the event, which highlighted a decade of faith-based education and transformative impact on underserved youth.
The evening honored Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, a Scranton native and longtime advocate for education, justice, and service. Msgr. Quinn’s distinguished career as a priest, attorney, judge, and college administrator was celebrated for its alignment with the school’s mission of empowering students through academic excellence and spiritual growth.
“Msgr. Quinn’s life of service is a powerful example for our community,” said DiPippa. “His commitment to justice and education reflects the values we strive to uphold.”
Nativity Miguel School has served over 150 students since its founding, offering a tuition-free, extended-day middle school program rooted in Catholic values. The Diocese of Scranton remains a proud partner in supporting the school’s mission and future.
