Catholic Foundation Strengthens Partnership with the Diocese Through Catholic Ministries Appeal Events

The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Scranton continues to deepen its partnership with the Diocese by actively participating in events that bring together faithful Catholics from across the region. The Catholic Foundation is a separate 501(c)3 and was established to support the ministries of the Diocese. Recently, Mark DiPippa, Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation, attended a Catholic Ministries Appeal reception in Hawley, one of several gatherings hosted throughout the Diocese to celebrate and recognize the generosity of Catholic faithful.

The reception provided an opportunity for the Foundation to connect with parishioners, diocesan leaders, and supporters who share a commitment to strengthening the mission of the Church. Also attending the event were Foundation Board members Jim Adams and Mike Cavage, along with Mike’s wife Alison Cavage, whose participation reflects the important role volunteer leadership plays in advancing the Foundation’s mission.

The Catholic Foundation maintains a close and collaborative relationship with the Diocese of Scranton. Through participation in diocesan events such as the Catholic Ministries Appeal receptions, Foundation leadership and board members have the opportunity to share the Foundation’s purpose, highlight its impact, and engage with faithful Catholics who care deeply about the future of the Church.

Throughout the month of August, Mark DiPippa attended all six Catholic Ministries Appeal receptions, including events held in Williamsport, Sayre, Cresco, Pittston, Peckville, and Hawley. These gatherings provided valuable opportunities to listen to parishioners, learn about the needs of local communities, and strengthen relationships with those who support the ministries of the Diocese.

As the Catholic Foundation continues to grow, its partnership with the Diocese remains central to its mission. Working together, the Foundation and the Diocese seek to inspire faithful stewardship, promote charitable giving, and ensure that the ministries of the Church have the resources needed to serve future generations.

Through the leadership of its board members, the support of generous donors, and its ongoing collaboration with diocesan leadership, the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Scranton remains committed to helping Catholics create lasting legacies of faith while supporting the mission of the Church across northeastern and north-central Pennsylvania.s
